About Draper Studios
Where is Draper Studios located?
The studio is at 816 Acoma Street, Downtown Denver. I also shoot on location throughout the Denver metro — offices, homes, outdoor spaces, and anywhere else that fits the session.
Who do you typically work with?
Actors, executives, founders, entrepreneurs, musicians, artists, authors, speakers, consultants, coaches, and corporate teams — anyone who needs strong images and takes their visual presence seriously.
How do I book a session?
Fill out the form at draperstudios.com/contact, or email matt@draperstudios.com directly. I'll respond within 24 hours to talk through what you need and get you scheduled.

Professional Headshot
$325
~45 min, one setup, one fully retouched image
A fully directed session at the Downtown Denver studio, with a same-day private proof gallery and your finished image within 48 hours of your selection. You don't need to know how to pose — I guide every frame.
Want a second look — something formal for a company site and something relaxed for LinkedIn — or more than one finished image? Both can be added to your session; just ask when you book. Additional retouched images are $50 each.
If I don't love my photos, what happens?
You shouldn't pay for a photograph you won't use. If nothing in your gallery feels right, tell me and we'll reshoot — no charge, no awkward conversation.
What's the difference between this and Personal Branding or Team Headshots?
A Professional Headshot Session is one directed setup, built for LinkedIn, a company website, or a speaker bio. Personal Branding adds more wardrobe looks, settings, and a larger set of images for ongoing marketing — sessions start at $425. Team Headshots are planned around a consistent look for an entire organization and quoted by team size, setups, and location.
Do I need professional hair and makeup?
No. Arrive looking the way you would for an important professional meeting — get a good night's sleep, and schedule any haircuts, color, or grooming a few days ahead rather than the day of.
What should I wear?
Solid colors and simple textures photograph best — avoid large logos or busy patterns. Bring two or three options and we'll choose the strongest together before shooting.
How long is the session, and where is it?
About 45 minutes, at Draper Studios, 816 Acoma Street in Downtown Denver. Sessions are photographed indoors, so weather never moves your appointment. If your session needs to happen at your office instead, reach out before booking so we can plan the setup.
How often should I update my headshot?
Every two to three years is a reasonable guideline — sooner if your role, appearance, or industry has changed. Simple test: if someone met you right after seeing the photo, would it still feel accurate?

The Portfolio
$525
Three looks, full range
Every session includes complete direction, a same-day proof gallery, high-resolution files, and 8×10 casting crops sized for Actors Access, Casting Networks, and IMDb. Additional looks are $100 each; additional retouched images from your gallery are $50 each. Physical 8×10 prints can be ordered separately, any time.
What counts as one "look"?
A look is a casting direction, not a costume change — a shift in wardrobe, background, lighting, expression, and energy. A warm commercial read and a dramatic theatrical read are two looks. Swapping a blue shirt for a grey one isn't.
How do I decide which looks I need?
Before your session you'll get a short questionnaire on your experience, current headshots, representation, and the roles you're actually pursuing. We build your looks from those answers. If you're not sure what your casting lanes are yet, that's a completely normal place to start.
Do I need professional hair and makeup?
No. You should look polished, but still like the person who walks into the audition room. Keep makeup natural and hair at its current length and color — if you'd like professional hair and makeup for a specific reason, I can recommend someone.
When will I get my images?
A private proof gallery arrives the same day, so you can compare looks on your own time or send them to your agent. Retouched finals come back within 48 hours, ready for submission and print.
What if a look isn't working?
If one of your looks isn't landing the way we planned it, tell me and we'll reshoot that look — no charge, no awkward conversation. You're going to submit these for months; they need to be right.
