Corporate Event Photography · Denver
Event photography built around the people in the room.
Executive portraits, on-site headshots, and editorial coverage for Denver companies and the producers who plan their events.
Your leadership, speakers, and team are in one place for a day or two. The photographs should be worth it long after the event is over.
What I do
Three things, done well.
I don't try to cover everything. I focus on the photographs companies keep using after the event is over.
01
Executive & VIP portraits
A lit portrait setup running alongside your event, in a breakout room, a quiet corner, or somewhere with real character. Leadership and speakers step away for a few minutes and come back with portraits worth using.
Used for · Website bios · Press · Speaker introductions
02
On-site headshots
Consistent, directed headshots for attendees, staff, or a whole department, with a production plan sized to your headcount. Everyone gets individual direction, and every image meets the same standard.
Used for · LinkedIn · Company directory · Event app
03
Editorial coverage
The keynote, the room, and the real moments in between, photographed by someone who spent fifteen years reading people for a living. Fewer throwaway frames. More images worth publishing.
Used for · Recap posts · Next year's promotion · Internal communications
Book one, or combine them in a single visit. Portraits and coverage on the same day is where this works best.
Why it's different
An executive will give you three minutes. What happens in those three minutes is the whole job.
A lot of event photography is built around volume: cover everything, deliver hundreds of frames. That has its place. I work differently.
Before photography, I spent fifteen years in Los Angeles directing and coaching actors. That's where I learned how to get a real expression from someone who'd rather be anywhere else, and how to get it quickly.
At an event, that matters. Your CEO is between sessions. Your keynote speaker is thinking about their talk. Most of your team doesn't like having their photo taken. That's normal. My job is to direct the moment so nobody has to perform it.
- DirectionI guide every portrait and headshot, so nobody needs to know how to pose.
- A consistent standardA portable lighting setup that holds the same look in a hotel ballroom, a conference room, or an office lobby.
- AttentionDuring coverage, I watch the people, not just the stage. That's where the photographs worth keeping usually are.
Selected work
The work.
Photographs from corporate events, alongside the portrait and headshot work that companies hire me for most often.
At events
Portraits & headshots
Executive portraits, team portraits, and headshots from on-site and studio sessions.
One standard, every person. Whether it's four headshots or four hundred, everyone should look like they work at the same company.
For planners & producers
Recommending a photographer puts your name on it.
Here's what you and your client can count on, so the photography is the easy part of the event.
A planning call
Before the event, we go through the run of show, the people who matter most, and where portraits and headshots will happen.
A VIP list
Tell me who needs to be photographed. I'll make sure they are, without pulling them away for long.
Working around your schedule
Portrait time fits into breaks and transitions, not the middle of a keynote. On the floor, I stay out of the way.
Same-day selects
A handful of edited images the same night, ready for social and recap posts while the event is still fresh.
Clear delivery
The full edited coverage gallery within 48 hours. For larger headshot assignments, the delivery date is set in advance based on headcount.
Usage rights, up front
Licensing for marketing, press, and social is spelled out before the event, not sorted out after it.
If your client has questions, send them my way. I'm glad to get on a call with them directly.

★★★★★
“Professional, courteous, flexible and talented. Came right to our office and turned out re-touched headshots in a couple of days when other vendors we used took weeks. And when we couldn't herd the cats for a group photo, graciously offered to come back again at a time that fits our schedule.”

★★★★★
“Our firm hired Matt (twice) to shoot our staff photos for our corporate website. He made sure all our members felt comfortable during the shoot and also made sure everyone was satisfied with their pictures. We're glad we found him. Matt's our guy.”

Questions
Before you reach out.
What kinds of events do you photograph?
Corporate events where the people matter most: conferences, leadership summits, executive retreats, company gatherings, and speaker events. I don't photograph weddings or private parties. That focus is what keeps the work consistent.
Can you do portraits and event coverage on the same day?
Yes, and it's often the best use of the day. A portrait setup runs in a breakout room or quiet space while I cover sessions around it, and leadership steps away for a few minutes between commitments.
How many people can you photograph for on-site headshots?
It depends on the headcount and the time available. For larger events, the setup scales with additional stations and support so the standard holds for every person. We'll plan the numbers together before the event.
How quickly do we get the photographs?
A handful of edited selects the same night, ready for social. The full edited coverage gallery within 48 hours. For larger headshot assignments, the delivery date is set in advance based on headcount.
How do usage rights work?
Licensing for marketing, press, and social use is included and spelled out in the agreement before the event, so there are no surprises afterward.
Do you travel?
I'm based in downtown Denver and work throughout the metro area. Events elsewhere in Colorado and beyond are welcome, with travel quoted up front.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance, just let me know.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as your date is set. A few weeks out gives us time for a planning call and a VIP list, but reach out even if your event is sooner.
